June 11, 2018: Dedication of the new Engineering and Science Building

Governor Malloy was enthusiastic about the new Engineering & Science Building and the prospects for its role in the training of new scientists and engineers as well as for its configuration as a cutting edge research facility.  The photo shows him speaking at the ribbon cutting for the new building: As part of the Institute for Systems Genomics, MCB faculty occupy most of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building. Undergraduate student majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology, Kanika Malani, spoke about how this new building will help support her research on Investigating Changes in Mitophagy as a Consequence of Aging.
