was selected to present his work at the St. Jude National Graduate Student Symposium (NGSS).

This competitive academic and professional development event, from March 28-29, allows PhD-level graduate students from U.S. institutions to present their own work, in addition to learning about the cutting-edge research and facilities at St. Jude.

He was chosen from over 1800 applicants to participate … 44 were chosen in all.

Neither the symposium nor the application process is advertised; thus, students can only apply if they have either received an invitation from St. Jude, or are nominated by a faculty advisor.

He was invited to apply for the symposium after presenting his research at the 2015 annual meeting of the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.  At that meeting he was a Travel Award winner and asked to give a talk.
