Ken will be recognized, along with the other award recipients, at the Excellence in Public Engagement Reception on Tuesday, November 14th.
MCB Major, Brian Aguilera, took part in the new Health Research Program!
Aguilera was selected to work in the lab of assistant professor Mallika Ghosh in the Center for Vascular Biology at UConn Health, where he studied the protein enzyme CD13 and its effects on the formation of tunneling nanotubes (TNTs),

ASM recognizes contributions toward the full participation and advancement of women in microbiology. This award was established by the ASM’s Committee on the Status of Women in Microbiology, and is given in memory of Alice C. Evans, the first woman to be elected ASM President in 1928.
