Suleyman Bozal a junior undergraduate majoring in Structural Biology and Biophysics, spent the past summer in an immersive research based program at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Suleyman was one of 12 selected students, from several hundred applicants, that got to participate in the 11-week program this summer. As well as in classroom learning, the program involved mentored research, where Suleyman got to work on state-of-the-art RNA structure methods in Kevin Weeks lab. As an extra bonus Sulyman got to take a selfie Aziz Sancar, the 2015 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry!
