UConn Molecular and Cell Biology major, Katie Hooker ’23, has been named a Goldwater Scholar. The Goldwater Scholarship is considered the nation’s premier scholarship for undergraduates studying math, natural sciences, and engineering. “A favorabe path to domain separation in the orange carotenoid protein” The computational study was led by postdoc Mahmoud Sharawy in theMay lab and was a collaboration with Jose Gascon in the UConn Chemistry Department.
