Assistant Professor In-Residence
Molecular and Cell Biology
Education: Ph.D. Emory University
Research Interests: My dissertation research at Emory University investigated how a common variation in the class II major histocompatibility complex increases the risk for Parkinson’s disease, a neurodegenerative movement disorder. As an assistant professor-in-residence at UConn, I am interested in developing curriculum on topics such as: introductory biology, neuroimmunology, science communication, gene-by-environment interactions, and biomedical science for non-biology majors.
